Welcome to today’s blog. Again, this is Craig Hall and I am the Heavener Ledger publisher, writer, photographer and generally good guy.
Today is June 23, the 173rd day of the year. There are 191 days left in 2022.

Our online radio station https://leflorecountyradio.com/ is not doing well. I thought the fine residents of LeFlore County would like an alternative. We have local news, weather, sports and obits, along with music to chill with.
I am sure what is hurting is is the music because it is not a certain genre and does not have the well-known songs or artists.
Let us know what music you favor in today’s poll: https://www.heavenerledger.com/2022/06/23/the-poll-for-6-23-2022/
We went with this kind of music since it is copyright free and we do not have to pay a license fee. But we do value your opinion. In addition, we are going to try and broadcast as much local sports this coming year, but we need to know people want this.
Everybody needs to be careful the next few days because it is going to be hot. We are expected to get a little break early next week, but this is going to be a rough week.
The daily battle with our pool continued yesterday. I filled the pool up and went to check up on it later and water was gushing out of the bottom of the filter. Why? No club. Tried to plug that hold, then a hose kept coming off. It came off twice as I worked on it, leaving me swamped.
This was while we were trying to put the paper together. Had to change and did the home deliveries in Heavener yesterday evening, without my able sidekick, Khloe, so our delivery was not as good as when she helps.
I went to town yesterday morning and some idiot did not get the back door closed well. I got back and looked for our two nameless kittens and they were missing in action. I figured they were just hiding and let it go. A little later, I spotted one of the two in our living room and then found the other one. I deposited them back outside where they belong. Those little booger heads better be glad Khloe likes them or they would be paying a visit to the humane society.
Our brave cocker spaniel, Molly, all she does is ignore them, which is good as it would be hard to explain to the granddaughter our dog got rid of the kittens. Khloe had a little chicken here a few years ago. We obviously did not want it. We went somewhere and came home to fine the little chicky was dead in the backyard. I deposited the chicken and told Khloe the chicky must have flown away.
She said that she didn’t know the chicky could fly. Not an easy situation to put a grandfather in.
